Andreessen Horowitz has named Jorge Conde as its newest general partner.
Conde will join General Partner Vijay Pande to run the firm’s bio fund aimed at investments at the cross section of biology, computer science and healthcare.
Conde was previously chief strategy officer at Syros Pharmaceuticals and before that co-founded genomics interpretation company Knome, which was acquired by Tute Genomics in 2015.
He will relocate to California from Boston.
