Andreessen Horowitz names Kathryn Haun its first female GP

Andreessen Horowitz has named Kathryn Haun its first female general partner.

The news was released in a blog post from General Partner Ben Horowitz.

The firm also unveiled a $300 million crypto fund to invest in crypto currency companies, coins and protocols, according to a news story in Forbes. Both Haun and General Partner Chris Dixon will manage the fund, which will operate as a separate entity from the firm’s other funds.

Haun is a former assistant U.S. attorney who played a role in prosecuting cyber crimes. She also is a lecturer at Stanford University.
