Red & Blue Ventures has raised $13.9 million for its inaugural fund, according to an SEC filing. The target is $20 million. Based in Philadelphia, the seed and early-stage venture firm invests in companies founded by University of Pennsylvania students, faculty members and alumni.

FirstMark Capital has hired Beth Ferreira as a managing director, the New York City-based early-stage venture firm announced on its site. She is a former founding managing partner at WME Ventures and also worked with Flatiron Partners early in her career.

Boulder, Colorado-based Stateless, a tech startup, has secured $1.4 million in seed funding. Speedinvest led the round with participation from other backers that included EVO Venture Partners, Techstars, PV Ventures and Service Provider Capital.

Zeta Global has acquired Disqus, an audience engagement platform. No financial terms were disclosed. Disqus' backers included Union Square Ventures, Felicis Ventures and North Bridge.
