Pune, India-based Sapience Analytics, a provider of employee productivity software, has secured an undisclosed amount of funding. The investor was Credit Suisse Asset Management’s NEXT Investors.
Sunnyvale, California-based LevaData, a cognitive sourcing platform provider, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. The investor was Tola Capital. In addition to the funding, Aaron Fleishman, a principal at Tola Capital, will join LevaData’s board of directors.
San Francisco-based Gigster, a smart software development service that combines top developers and designers with automation tools, has raised $20 million in Series B financing. Redpoint Ventures led the round with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Sound Ventures, Marc Benioff, Adam D'Angelo and Michael Jordan.
Toronto and Los Angeles-based HERB, a cannabis tech platform, has raised $4.1 million in seed funding. Lerer Hippeau Ventures led the round with participation from Slow Ventures, Michael Lazerow, Bullpen Capital, Shiva Rajarama, Liquid 2 Ventures, Tobi Lutke, Harley Finkelstein and Adam Zeplain.
Chicago-based Wise Apple, a meal delivery service, has secured $3.6 million in seed funding. Pritzker Group Venture Capital and Levy Family Partners led the round with participation from Chicago Ventures, Greycroft, BoxGroup and Irish Angels. 
Amsterdam-based Hotelchamp, a marketing and sales platform that helps hoteliers drive more direct bookings on their websites, has secured 2.25 million euros in seed funding. The investors included Nalden, founder of WeTransfer and Phillippe de Knijff and Jolanda Degen of WorldTicketCenter.
Seattle-based Amplero, an artificial intelligence marketing company, has secured $17.5 million in Series B funding. Greycroft and Ignition Partners led the round with participation from return backers Wildcat Venture Partners, Seven Peaks Ventures and Trilogy Equity Partners.
Bestow, a developer of an on-demand life insurance platform, has raised $2.5 million in seed funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from Core Innovation Capital, Morpheus Ventures and 8VC.
Englewood, Colorado-based BillingPlatform, a provider of cloud-based quote-to-cash solutions, has raised a total of $18 million from Columbia Capital. The company has secured an initial $4 million commitment from Columbia with the firm planning to invest an additional $14 million in BillingPlatform. Also, BillingPlatform has named Dennis Wall as CEO. Wall joined BillingPlatform in January 2017 as its chief revenue officer.
Anonyome Labs, a consumer privacy startup, has secured $20.4 in million Series B funding. The investors included John Mumford, founder of Mumford; Todd Davis, founder of LifeLock; Greg Clark, CEO of Symantec; and Hanna Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Anonyome has appointed Davis to its board.
