Israel-based medical device company Keystone Heart has appointed Chris Richardson as president and CEO. Previously, Richardson served as international president and CCO of Direct Flow Medical. Keystone Heart's backers include OrbiMed.
Berlin-based rental startup Nestpick has raised $11 million in Series A funding. The investors were Mangrove, Enern and Rocket Internet.
European equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs will be launching in the U.S. in early 2016. This follows last Friday's vote by the SEC to implement Title III of the Jobs Act, which legalizes equity crowdfunding in the U.S. Seedrs' backers include Neil Woodford, Augmentum Capital and Faber Ventures.
OpenView Venture Partners has hired Rufus King as chief legal officer. Previously, King was the inaugural director at Villanova Law School's newly launched Center for Law and Entrepreneurship.
Porch.com has bought San Francisco-based Fountain, an app that connects homeowners to experts on home and garden projects. In addition to the funding, Porch has hired Eric Doerr as chief product officer and Jim Dantzler as vice president of design. No financial terms were disclosed. Fountain's backers included Shasta Ventures and First Round Capital.
Austin, Texas-based TrendKite, a provider of PR analytics for agencies and corporate brands, has secured $10.7 million in Series C funding. Noro-Moseley Partners led the round with participation from return backers Battery Ventures, Silverton Partners and Mercury Fund.
Austin, Texas-based Edgecase, a provider of curated product data that powers e-commerce, has raised $7.5 million in funding. The investors included Austin Ventures.
Baltimore-based Personal Genome Diagnostics Inc, a provider of advanced cancer genome testing products and services, has secured $21.4 million in Series A funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round with participation from other investors that included Windham Venture Partners and Nanjing Kaiyuan Growth Capital Investments. In addition to the funding, Dr. Justin Klein, a general partner at NEA, has been added to PGDx's board of directors while Felix Dawson and Adam Fine of Windham Venture Partners will become board observers.
Silicon Valley-based Filld, an on-demand mobile refueling company, has raised $3.25 million in seed funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round with participation from other investors that included Javelin Venture Partners.
Gobble, a provider of gourmet meal kits, has raised $10.75 in Series A funding. Trinity Ventures led the round with participation from other investors that included Andreessen Horowitz, Fenox VC and Initialized Capital. In conjunction with the funding. Ajay Chopra, a general partner at Trinity Ventures has been added to Gobble's board.
