MobileIron said Monday that it has filed for an IPO. The number of shares that will be sold as well as the stock's pricing terms have yet to be set. Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs will serve as lead underwriters. Based in Mountain View, Calif., MobileIron is a provider of mobile IT security and management for apps, content and devices. Its backers include Institutional Venture Partners, Foundation Capital, Norwest Venture Partners and Sequoia Capital.

Fluid said Monday that it has acquired 8thBridge. No financial terms were disclosed. Based in Minneapolis, 8thBridge, which is backed by Trident Capital and Split Rock Partners, is a provider of social discovery, curation, analytics and marketing solutions for retailers.

The investors included athenahealth CEO Jonathan Bush; Tim Draper, founder and managing director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson; Carl Byers, venture partner at Fidelity Biosciences; and James Nahirny, founder and manager partner at Leerink Capital Partners. Based in Boston, Wellframe is a digital health firm.

Genocea Biosciences said Monday that it has named Jonathan Poole as chief financial officer. Previously, Poole worked at Shire where he served as senior vice president of finance for pipeline and technical operations. Based in Cambridge, Mass., Genocea Biosciences is a developer of T-cell vaccines. Genocea’s backers include Polaris Venture Partners, Lux Ventures, Skyline Ventures, Auriga Ventures, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Morningside Ventures.
Okta said Monday that it has hired Krista Anderson as its first chief customer officer. Anderson is a former senior vice president at Salesforce.com. Based in San Francisco, Okta is an identity management service. It is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
