ThetaRay said Monday that it has received an investment from General Electric. No financial terms were disclosed, although one outlet reports the amount to be "several million dollars." ThetaRay, which is also backed by Israeli venture capital firm Jerusalem Venture Partners, is a provider of cyber security solutions.
Social website platform RebelMouse has closed $10.25 million in Series A financing, according to a blog post on the company's website. Investors included Oak Investment Partners, SoftBank, Sterling Investment Partners and Michael Lazerow. In addition to the news about the funding, RebelMouse said that it has named Jarrod Dicker as managing director of commercial product and operations. Patreon has received $2.1 million in funding. Investors included SV Angel, Charles River Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Atlas Venture, Rothenberg Ventures and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. Patreon is a patronage platform that supports artists.
RUN said Thursday that it has raised $1.5 million from Verizon Ventures, an investment unit of Verizon Communications. According to RUN, the capital will be used for growth and product development. Headquartered in New York City, RUN is a provider of mobile-focused programmatic ad technology.
Jebbit said Thursday that it has raised $1.25 million in funding. The lead investor was Data Point Capital, a Boston-based venture capital fund. Previous investor Boston Seed Capital also participated in the round. In addition to the news about the funding, Scott Savitz, founder of Data Point Capital, joins Jebbit's board of directors. Headquartered in Cambridge, Mass., Jebbit is an interactive ad network.
Datorama has secured $3 million in Series A funding from Cedar Fund and Innovation Endeavors. The capital will be used for growth and marketing. Datorama is a cross-channel marketing analytics platform.
Quantros, a portfolio company of Francisco Partners, said Wednesday that it has received a growth investment from Ascension Health Ventures, a healthcare venture capital fund. No financial terms were disclosed. Also, Victor Kats, an investment director at AHV, joins Quantros' board of directors. Headquartered in Milpitas, Calif., Quantros is a provider of clinical business intelligence solutions to the healthcare sector.
Signal Data Corp. said Wednesday that it has closed $2 million in Series A funding. Atlas Venture and existing investors led the round. Headquartered in New York City, Signa Data is a provider of retail location data and analytics software.
Hansen Medical said Wednesday that it has entered into an agreement to raise up to $93 million in equity financing. Investors include Oracle Investment Management, medical device executive Jack W. Schuler, members of the Hansen's board and other existing and new shareholders. Under terms of the agreement, Hansen Medical will receive $39 million upfront at the close of the transaction. Based in Mountain View, Calif., Hansen Medical is a maker of medical robotics.
Dropcam said Wednesday that it has closed $30 million in Series C funding. The lead investor was Institutional Venture Partners. Existing investors Accel Partners and Menlo Ventures, along with new investor Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, participated in the round. Based in San Francisco, Calif., Dropcam is a maker of Dropcam HD, a Wi-Fi video monitoring camera with cloud recording service.
