Benevity Inc said Oct. 22 that it raised $40 million in a Series C round from General Atlantic and JMI Equity. Benevity, of Calgary, provides corporate social responsibility and employee engagement software.
Speechmatics said Oct. 21 that it raised 6.35 million pounds ($8.25 million) in Series A funding led by AlbionVC. IQ Capital, along with several angel investors, participated. Speechmatics, of London, is a speech recognition technology engine.
E.fundamentals raised 5.3 million pounds ($6.9 million) in funding led by Maven Capital Partners. Downing Ventures and Scottish Enterprise also participated in the round. E.fundamentals, of London, is an ecommerce analytics.
Ekos said Oct. 17 that it raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Noro-Moseley Partners. Ekos, of Charlotte, North Carolina, provides business management software for craft beverage companies.
Pendo.io said Oct. 17 that it raised $100 million in Series E funding led by Sapphire Ventures. New investors General Atlantic and Tiger Global, along with existing investors Battery Ventures, Meritech Capital, FirstMark, Geodesic Capital, and Cross Creek participated in the round. Pendo is a product cloud that aims to help digital product teams and application owners deliver software experiences that users love.
DMed Biopharmaceutical Co said it raised roughly $50 million in a Series B funding round led by Vivo Capital. Participating in the round were Legend Capital, Qiming Venture Partners and Lilly Asia Ventures. DMed is a clinical contract research organization that provides industry solutions to pharmaceutical and medical device companies in China and across the globe.
Algolia said Oct. 15 that it raised $110 million in funding led by existing investor Accel. Salesforce Ventures and other firms also participated. Algoria is a Search-as-a-Service platform.
RigUp said Oct. 10 that it raised a $300 million Series D round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with participation from existing investors, including Founders Fund, Bedrock Capital, and Quantum Energy Partners. New investors include Baillie Gifford and Brookfield Growth Partners. RigUp, of Austin, provides a marketplace for on-demand services and skilled labor.
Emplify said Oct. 10 that it raised a $15 million funding round led by Edison Partners. Prior investors, including Allos Ventures, Cultivation Capital, Mark Hill, Bob Davoli from Gutbrain Ventures and 4G Ventures managing director Bill Godfrey, participated in the round. Emplify, an employee engagement company, said it hired George Tate as SVP of Sales.
Satelles Inc raised $26 million in a funding round led by C5 Capital. Satelles, of Redwood City, California, provides time and location technology that is delivered over the Iridium constellation of low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellites.
