Ropes & Gray hired Will Rosen to strengthen the firm’s London practice. Rosen previously worked for DLA Piper in London. He was a partner in DLA’s corporate group and head of private equity, EMEA. Rosen is expected to join the practice in mid-2011. In addition, Ropes & Gray’s private equity partner Bill Mone will transfer to London from its Boston office in August.
Ropes & Gray LLP hired Stefanie Birkmann as a partner in its finance group. She will work ut of the New York office and will provide services to private equity firms, investment and commercial banks and others involved in mergers and acquisitions. Birkmann, 42, was previously senior counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
