Birdseye, a Toronto-based all-in-one marketing analytics system for Shopify brands, has secured C$500,000 in pre-seed financing. The investor was Drive Capital.

Founded in 2021, Birdseye has developed a marketing recommendation system designed to help small and growing e-commerce businesses. Many small online retailers struggle with data-driven marketing, lack dedicated analytics teams and miss out on valuable opportunities to increase sales.

The funds raised will be used by Birdseye to expand its core engineering team and continue developing artificial intelligence-powered marketing technology.

“Our goal with Birdseye is to empower small business owners with the same analytics capabilities that are typically only available to large enterprises and expensive advertising agencies,” said Matt Bogoroch, CEO and co-founder of Birdseye, in a statement. “With funding in place, Birdseye is well positioned to level the playing field for growing brands. Our goal is to become the leading ecommerce software for Shopify and ecommerce businesses.”
