Victoria, British Columbia-based bitcoin infrastructure company Blockstream is with its latest financing joining a slew of Canadian technology enterprises that have reached billion-dollar valuations during the pandemic, the Globe and Mail reported.

Blockstream raised $210 million in a round backed by UK private equity firm Baillie Gifford, Hong Kong-based iFinex and other investors. The deal values the business at $3.2 billion.
