Candis raises Series B to focus on European market

Investing in the Berlin company are Viola Ventures and Rabo Frontier Ventures, with existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Point Nine Capital, Speedinvest and 42CAP.

Berlin-based Candis, which provides automated financial software for small and midsized businesses, raised €12 million ($14 million) in a Series B round. Viola Ventures and Rabo Frontier Ventures, the investment arm of Rabobank, led the funding. Existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Point Nine Capital, Speedinvest (the main incubator of Commerzbank) and 42CAP also participated. The company said it will use the funding to expand within Europe.
