Telehealth company Clearstep Health, which provides care navigation and a virtual triage platform, announced it has raised $1.3 million in a pre-seed round. investors include RRE Ventures, Newark Venture Partners and OCA Ventures. Clearstep, which is based in Chicago and has offices in New York, San Francisco and Salt Lake City, uses a conversational interface to route patients to nearby care resources, provide possible causes, allow them to schedule an appointment, and give them OTC medicine and home care advice. The company was founded in 2018, but noted with the funding announcement that digital healthcare solutions are seeing an increase in adoption as a result of the pandemic.
