Toronto-based specialty coffee shop Congo Coffee has secured C$7 million in pre-seeding financing. The backer was Pittsford, New York Angel investors group.

The capital infusion will be used for team-building, operations, supply chain infrastructure and market share acquisition.

Congo Coffee founder Nia Bangala plans on opening new retail locations for 2023.
