Palo Alto, California-based Akasha Imaging, a pioneer in deep imaging technology, emerged from stealth mode to announce it has raised $10.75 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Khosla Ventures, which was joined by Sierra Ventures and Orbital Ventures.

The company’s founding team includes chief scientist and co-founder Achuta Kadambi, who developed the technology which came out of the MIT Media Lab.
