Energy Capital Ventures has raised $61 million for its inaugural fund. The fund’s limited partners include Eversource Energy, National Fuel Gas Co, Avista Corp, Black Hills Energy and NiSource.
The fund will focus on seed plus and Series A investments in environmental, social and governance initiatives within the natural gas sector.
“Adding Eversource and National Fuel Gas Company to our platform categorically demonstrates the strategic importance and market validation of the work we are doing to advance innovation in green molecules,” Vic Pascucci, ECV co-founder and managing general partner, said in a statement. “We could not be more excited about the future of our fund and its mission to accelerate clean innovation in the natural gas industry.”
