Foresite Capital has raised a total of $968.8 million across two funds, Foresite Capital Fund V and Foresite Capital Opportunity Fund V.

The oversubscribed funds closed at their hard-caps with Foresite Capital Fund V raising $775 million and Foresite Capital Opportunity Fund V raising $193.8 million.

Capital raised by the vehicles will be invested in early-to-late stage companies in healthcare and life science sectors across the US.

Both the funds have received commitments from Cathay Life Insurance and Taiwan Life Insurance.
