Danish analytics platform GameAnalytics has raised $5.5 million in Series A funding. The investors in this round included Sunstone Capital, Crunchfund and Beta Angels. In addition to the financing, the firm has named Luke Aviet as CEO, Nick Roveta as vice president of strategic partnerships and Claus Moseholm as chief commercial officer.

GameAnalytics, one of the fastest-growing analytics platforms for game developers, has announced it has closed its Series A funding round worth $5.5m. The free platform provides developers with tools and insight to improve their games. It has close to 14,000 registered game developers with their games reaching over 500 million unique players.
The latest funding takes GameAnalytics’ total to $8m, having previously raised $2.5m from Sunstone Capital, CrunchFund, Jimmy Maymann (CEO, Huffington Post) and René Rechmann (President, Maker Studio), who are all participating in the current round together with new investor Beta Angels and the new management team.
As part of the funding round, GameAnalytics welcomes Luke Aviet (former Managing Director, AOL) as new CEO, Nick Roveta (former Head of Product and Partnerships, AOL) as VP of Strategic Partnerships and Claus Moseholm (founder, GoViral) as Chief Commercial Officer. Aviet, Roveta and Moseholm previously worked together very successfully at the video platform GoViral, which was sold to AOL in January 2011 for $96.7m.
GameAnalytics offers predefined metrics, data exploration and valuable user insights via a customisable dashboard, allowing developers a detailed insight into their user base. They can then use this feedback and data to improve their games.
