Two former gaming industry executives launched a venture capital fund dedicated to investing in early-stage virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality startups. The Virtual Reality Fund is targeting $50 million in capital commitments, according to a filing with the SEC. A first close has not been reported.
The firms founders are Marco DeMiroz, former chief executive of PlayFirst, and Tipatat Chennavasin, former head of mobile gaming company Big Head Mode, according to Venture Beat.
