Last night, cuddly Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak made his much-anticipated (in Silicon Valley) appearance on “Dancing With the Stars.”
It was, in the words of one of the judges, “a disaster.” Another compared Wozniak’s performance to “a Teletubby going mad.”
I’ve never met Wozniak, whose primary form of exercise appears to be playing Segway Polo in San Mateo and who may have been the show’s first contestant ever to take “thinking breaks.” But you have to give “the Woz” credit for getting out there. Sure, the opportunity provided him with plenty of rehearsal time with his bombshell of a dancing partner, Karina Smirnoff. But there was also a very good chance that he would be humiliated in front of millions of people — and the judges’ evicerating comments aside — that didn’t happen.
See for yourself:
In fact, I didn’t think his performance was shabby at all.
