HSBC Asset Management launches venture strategy

Heading up the fintech-focused fund are Remi Bourrette and Kara Byun.

HSBC Asset Management announced it has launched a new venture investment strategy aimed at investing in fintech companies in Europe and Asia.

The firm said it will typically invest in Series A and B funding rounds of companies. The strategy will look to raise from such institutions as institutional asset allocators, family offices, private banks and ultra-high net worth individuals. A target amount was not disclosed.

The fund will be run by Remi Bourrette, head of venture and growth investments, and Kara Byun, director of venture and growth investments.
