

Canadian early-stage venture capital firm Innovobot has made an undisclosed investment in Montreal-based Independent Robotics. No financial terms were disclosed. Spun out of McGill University’s Centre for Intelligent Machines, Independent Robotics creates systems for autonomous machines to accomplish tasks too difficult or to dangerous for humans.

Independent Robotics creates systems for autonomous machines to do what humans cannot. An outgrowth of McGill University’s Centre for Intelligent Machines, the company’s solutions are built on a foundation of AI capabilities, machine learning, neural networks, and vision processing.
