Kaszek Ventures raises $1bn for LatAm deals

The São Paulo-based investment firm has raised capital across two Latin American funds.

The Brazilian firm Kaszek Ventures has raised $1 billion across two funds, according to a recent press release. The early-stage vehicle, Kaszek Ventures V, has raised $475 million to invest in seed, Series A and Series B deals. The firm has a late-stage vehicle, Kaszek Ventures Opportunity II, which has raised $525 million in commitments.

Capital raised by the two oversubscribed funds will be used to invest in tech firms across Latin America.

Among Kaszek’s portfolio companies are Brazilian fintech start-ups Nubank and Creditas and digital real estate broker QuintoAndar.
