Kate Farms nets $75m Series C

Santa Barbara, California-based Kate Farms, a plant-based formula maker, has raised $75 million in Series C funding. Novo Holdings led the round.

Other backers included Kaiser Permanente Ventures, Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Main Street Advisors.

On the fundraising, Kartik Dharmadhikari, a partner at Novo Growth, Novo Holdings, said in a statement, “We are pleased to partner with Kate Farms and support them in their efforts to meet the nutritional needs of numerous patient populations.”

J.P. Morgan acted as sole placement agent to Kate Farms and Latham & Watkins LLP served as counsel to Kate Farms on the transaction.
