Khosla leads Series A round for Loyal

San Francisco's Loyal raises $27m to focus on cellular longevity in dogs.

San Francisco-based Loyal, which is focused on cellular longevity in dogs, raised a $27 million Series A round. Khosla Ventures led the funding with additional investments from participants in the company’s seed round, including First Round Capital, Box Group, Collaborative Fund, The Longevity Fund and Lachy Groom. Angel investors include Claire Hughes Johnson, Brianne Kimmel and Ashley Mayer.

The company, which has now raised $38 million in total funding, said the latest round consists of 50 percent female investors, a priority of founder and chief executive Celine Halioua.
