Education: Georgia Tech; Tulane Law School

Career Path: Larry Aldrich is fund manager for Tucson Ventures and president of the Aldrich Capital Company. Until February of 2000, Mr. Aldrich was the President and CEO of Tucson Newspapers, where he served as business agent for the Arizona Daily Star and Tucson Citizen. In addition to publishing, with Mr. Aldrich’s guidance, the firm also created and launched StarNet, an Internet service provider and content site. Mr. Aldrich also worked in the U.S. Department of Justice as a trial prosecutor.

Investments: UniSource Energy Corp.; High ThroughputGenomics; Electrophysiology LLC; and Compass Bank.

Greatest Accomplishment: Convinced my bosses (as CEO of the Tucson (AZ) Newspapers in late 1994 to start an electronic newspaper and ISP on the Internet before most business folks (including myself) understood what the Internet was.

Biggest Mistake: Failing to invest fully in our internet business and capture the online space in Southern AZ.
