Live Chair Health, a member activation and engagement platform with the mission to reduce health disparities across the U.S., has raised $3.5 million in seed funding. Healthy Ventures led the round with participation from the Designer Fund, and strategic angels such as NBA-star Mason Plumlee’s Freesolo Ventures and the founder of HealthCrowd.

On the fundraising, Andrew Suggs, CEO and founder of Live Chair Health, conveyed considerable excitement.

“I am thrilled to have the support of stellar investors, each the leader in their segments: Healthy Ventures in transferring winning playbooks across verticals onto healthcare, the Designer Fund in designing beloved products and experiences, and Heirloom VC in championing culturally-relevant brands”, he said in a public statement.

Enmi Kendall of Healthy Ventures also teemed with excitement about the transaction.

“The phrase ‘Meet patients where they are’ is often thrown around. Live Chair walks the walk, with its omnichannel platform of real-life community nodes and digital app experience to lessen the load we impose on patients,” Kendall said in a public statement. “LCH’s singular insights and operational playbook are borne out of a deep, native understanding for the historically underserved communities that now can be intentionally served.”

LCH focuses on minorities and underserved populations.
