Mobile marketing platform Gallop Labs scores $2 mln

Gallop Labs has secured $2 million dollars in seed financing. Golden Venture Partners and Mantella Venture Partners led the round. Based in New York City and Toronto, Gallop Labs is a mobile marketing platform.

Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) December 10, 2014

Gallop Labs, whose Facebook Innovation Award-winning prescriptive mobile marketing platform is bringing growth science to marketers everywhere, today announced a $2 million dollar seed financing round. The round of financing is co-led by Golden Venture Partners and Mantella Venture Partners, with Allen Lau of Two Small Fish Ventures and CEO of Wattpad, Albert Lai, CEO of Big Viking Games (previously founded Kontagent) and Jennifer Lum, Founder of Adelphic Mobile (previously at Quattro Wireless, acquired by Apple Inc.) amongst the prominent angel investors who are participating in the round.

The Gallop platform improves the entire mobile user management lifecycle: acquisition, retention, re-engagement, and monetization. It analyzes a variety of first party data (marketplace and app analytics) and third party campaign data to derive insights to inform marketing activities. Based on marketers’ business goals, Gallop identifies retention risks and engagement opportunities, creates audiences and targeting parameters, and then prescribes marketing actions — maximizing effectiveness and minimizing costs incurred. And, because the platform is automated, marketers and app publishers no longer have to waste time on administrative tasks; instead, they can do what they do best: strategize, create, execute, and succeed.

“The marketing industry has been slow to respond to the needs of the mobile marketer — a deficit that both we and our investors see as a virtually untapped opportunity,” said Karthik Ramakrishnan, Co-Founder and CEO of Gallop Labs. “By simplifying Growth Science into prescriptive, actionable tasks, Gallop will make paid media a less intimidating and more efficient prospect for mobile app developers of all sizes. We’re building technology essential to realizing the $31B mobile ad spend predicted by 2017.”

Gallop Labs will use the funding to accelerate growth — for their company and their customers. First up: scaling the platform and getting it into more hands everywhere. With the January release of their self-service platform, Gallop Labs will bring Growth Science to over 1.5 million small & medium mobile app developers around the world. Gallop’s current diverse roster of customers includes AccuWeather, The Associated Press, Rithm, and The New York Times.
