Apologies for the light posting today, but I’m heading off to judge the semifinals round of a cleantech business plan competition sponsored by MIT.
I and two other judges will get pitched by three different companies, includes ones that claim to have: (1) Developed a new process for producing solar-grade silicon; (2) Developed an onsite renewable generation system; and (3) Created a new biofuel source for home heating.
Sorry I can’t be more specific, but the confidentiality agreement is kinda strict. Hopefully I can share a bit more once the round has ended. For context, last year I suggested that none of the three companies in my group deserved to move on to the finals. One of them went on to win the whole darn thing… So perhaps today’s presenters should really be aiming for my seal of disapproval.
