Orios Venture Partners has raised Rs. 300cr for its first venture capital fund. The focus is on tech entrepreneurs based in India.

National, August 19, 2014: Indian early stage investor Rehan Yar Khan today launched his first Venture Capital fund Orios Venture Partners with a Rs. 300cr corpus to back technology entrepreneurs that are building the next generation of Multi-Billion Dollar Companies from India. Orios will invest in early stage companies from Seed to Series A and Series B with investments ranging from Rs. 50L to Rs. 20cr in key growth sectors like India internet and B2B Software Products for Global markets.
Rehan is a leading early stage investor with many successful Global Indian software companies to his credit. Since 2008, Rehan has invested in 19 companies of which 15 companies from his portfolio have seen successes and remarkable growth including Druva, OlaCabs, Jigsee (VuClip), Unbxd and PrettySecrets. Consistently Rehan has played a pivotal role in scaling companies by mentoring them to expand to developed markets with global operations and teams in Silicon Valley. Notable amongst them has been Druva, his first such investment, which is currently valued at over Rs. 1000cr.
Having been entrepreneurs themselves for over two decades, Rehan and his team know the challenges of running profitable businesses and the distraction of managing investors. Rehan Yar Khan is Managing Partner of Orios Venture Partners. Bringing over 20 years of experience both as an experienced entrepreneur and six years as an investor, Rehan has successfully led over 15 early stage investments as Seed, Series A and Series B investor in companies like Druva, Olacabs, Reach Accountant, Sapience, Pretty Secrets, Jigsee, Unbxd, DocSuggest, IndiaCollegeSearch and Snapion which have grown substantially over the years. He is currently part of 7 boards as a member/ adviser/observer.
