Highland Capital Management is on the hunt for a director of distressed/special situations. The hire will source, evaluate and execute special situation and distressed credit investment opportunities. Also, he or she will lead development of financial models and associated due diligence on potential investments; and assist with ongoing management of the investments. Candidates should have a BBA/BS from a highly rated academic institution; a JD and MBA from top tier school is preferred. Professional certifications (CFA, CPA, etc.) are strongly desired. Applicants should have 10 plus years of prior experience with special situations, distressed credits, and/or restructurings. The position is in Dallas.

West Monroe Partners is searching for an M&A manager. The hire will work with the firm’s national M&A practice servicing both corporate and private equity clients, which includes leading operational and technology assessments during the due diligence phase; planning as part of the carve-out or merger integration transactions; and post-close execution management. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g. operations management, management information systems, information technology); a minimum of five years participating on business consulting and IT project-based work/teams; and a minimum of two to three years of managing complex operational and/or IT projects/people. The position is in New York City.

Brookfield Asset Management is searching for an analyst to join its private funds group. The hire will create and update general and fund-specific marketing materials, such as offering memorandums, investor presentations, fact sheets and other documents related to private investment fundraises. Also, he or she will create post-fundraise marketing and communication materials and assist in the organization of investor relations initiatives. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree with an excellent academic background. Credit, private equity, hedge fund or alternative asset funds knowledge is required. The position is in New York City.

Draper Associates, a seed-stage venture firm launched by Tim Draper, founder of founder of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, is seeking two analysts/associates to join the firm’s VC team.
