Private Equity Jobs of the Week: PNC, Invesco and Morgan Stanley are hiring

A weekly roundup of jobs in the private equity industry – from buyout shops to venture capital funds to investment banks.

PNC is searching for a private equity director. The hire will be responsible for identifying, underwriting, closing and monitoring private equity investments in middle-market companies in coordination with other PNC Erieview Partners and sourcing new investment opportunities. Also, he or she will oversee and manage due diligence procedures for prospective investments and oversee preparation of screening and investment committee materials. Candidates should have a minimum of three to five years of relevant work experience (private equity, mezzanine or investment banking). An undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics or accounting is required; an MBA is preferred. The position is in Cleveland.

Invesco US is on the hunt for a director of transactions for its structured investments group. The hire will work with Invesco Real Estate resources to identify and execute domestic real estate investments on behalf of IRE’s  strategies. Secondary responsibilities will include asset and portfolio management. Candidates should have at least ten years of real estate acquisition, asset management and real estate finance experience. An undergraduate degree with strong academic performance is required; an advanced degree or CFA is preferred. The position is in New York City.

New York State Teachers Retirement System is seeking an investment officer. The hire will provide operational and analytical support to investment-related departments related to trade and capital call processing, cash management, accounting and reconciliations, investment rates of return calculations and attribution analysis, proxy voting, monthly and quarterly investment reporting and compliance. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or in a closely related field. The position is in Albany, New York.

Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners is looking to hire a private equity operational due diligence analyst/associate. The hire will conduct in-depth initial and ongoing operational due diligence on private equity investments; review and analyze key fund documents; and lead diligence interviews with C-level executives globally. Also, he or she will evaluate the overall quality of systems, controls, infrastructure and personnel to identify potential issues relevant to the overall private equity fund investment decision. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; a CPA or CAIA is a plus. Also, he or she should have two to three years of experience in the investment management industry, with specific experience with alternative investments preferred. The position is in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.
