Relay Technology Management, a Cambridge, Mass.-based business intelligence software company, has named Marc Krellenstein as CTO. Krellenstein was previous the founder of Lucid Imagination and the former CTO and VP of search and discovery at Elsevier.

Relay Technology Management, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Marc Krellenstein as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Krellenstein brings 20+ years of industry leadership in search technology, text mining, and life science applications to Relay’s growing technology platform. Dr. Krellenstein was the founder of Lucid Imagination and the former Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Search and Discovery at Elsevier, and brings over twenty years of search tools and technology expertise to Relay.

“We are thrilled to add Marc’s breadth of expertise and knowledge of the life science data industry to Relay’s team,” says Dr. Brigham Hyde, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Relay. “His expertise is a perfect match for the vision of Relay, which is to enable life sciences professionals to make data-driven decision using real-time business intelligence and data visualization.”

Earlier this year Relay announced the official launch of its flagship product, Business Development Live (BD Live!) – a new unified, real-time data visualization, comparative asset analysis and tracking platform for the life sciences industry. Relay TM helps life science business development and licensing professionals to validate opportunities and discover new assets.

As CTO for Relay Technology Management, Krellenstein plans to expand product focus leading a growing team of top technologists to develop tools for the interpretation and utilization of data in the life science and healthcare arenas. “The Relay Innovation Engine has potential to serve a variety of stakeholders in the life sciences industry. The addition of Dr. Krellenstein is expected to continue ongoing efforts to more broadly serve the life science industry beyond business development and licensing in the biopharmaceutical industry” said Dr. David Greenwald, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Relay.
