Rivet Ventures to raise $50 mln female focused fund

Rivet Ventures, a venture firm targeting startups focused on female consumers, plans to raised a $50 million fund, according to a document filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund has yet to have a first close and is managed by Shadi Mehraein, formerly of Focus Ventures, Eun Hwang and Christina Brodbeck, who was part of the founding team at YouTube. The San Francisco firm will target consumer segment companies addressing the female market, according to its website.
