Sotera Wireless Raises $10.75 Million

Sotera Wireless (fka Triage Wireless), a San Diego-based developer of “cuff-less” patient monitoring technology, has raised $10.75 million in Series C funding. West Family Holdings led the round, and was joined by return backers Sanderling Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Intel Capital.


Sotera Wireless, Inc. a developer of patient monitoring technology, announced completion of a $10.75 million strategic investment round led by West Family Holdings, LLC. Other participants in this Series C round included existing investors Sanderling Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures and Intel Capital.

“The healthcare leaders of the future will include those companies that deliver innovative healthcare solutions with superior outcomes at lower costs,” said Gary West, who is also founder and chairman of the West Wireless Health Institute (WWHI) in La Jolla, Calif.  “Sotera’s novel technology for monitoring all of the vital signs will be a valuable safety net for seniors and people suffering from chronic diseases who want to live independently, but be connected to their doctor if there is a problem.”

Sotera will use the new funds to further efforts aimed at commercializing ViSi Mobile™, their next generation vital signs monitoring platform.
