SponsorHub, the maker of an online marketplace for the event sponsorship industry, has announced a list of investors that includes Vision Ventures, Sextant Group Chairman Archibald Cox Jr., media executive Joanne Katsch, investor Mark Semonian and Quotidian Ventures. The company did not release the amount of capital it has raised from investors. The company is based in New York.
SponsorHub (www.sponsorhub.com), the first online marketplace for the event sponsorship industry, today announced its initial round of investors. The list includes top entrepreneurs, brand and ad agency executives and venture capitalists, who recognize the market opportunity for a platform that equips brands and their agencies with easy access and scalability to event sponsorships.
Sponsorship is the fastest growing offline marketing segment and SponsorHub is uniquely positioned to unlock further value from ad dollars spent on digital and social media. Sponsorship has become a critical tool for marketers who want to reach customers directly through an uncluttered communication channel. However, the sophistication around discovery, scalability and purchasing power that for many years has been built into other forms of media, such as online ad technology and television, has remained absent in sponsorship. The launch of SponsorHub will introduce the first platform to provide greater access to the world of events and easier execution for buying event sponsorships.
