SpotOn raises $300m led by Andreessen Horowitz

San Francisco's SpotOn raises $300m and is now valued at $3.15bn.

San Francisco-based SpotOn, a payments and software company, has raised $300 million in Series E funding led by Andreessen Horowitz at a valuation of $3.15 billion. Current investors, including DST Global, 01 Advisors, Dragoneer Investment Group, Franklin Templeton, and Mubadala Investment Company, as well as new investors Wellington Management and Coatue Management, also participated in the round.

The company also announced it used the funding to acquire digital and mobile commerce platform provider Appetize.
