PRESS RELEASE
New York, NY (November 9, 2021) – Talent Hack, the platform powering fitness and wellness creators, today announced a $17 million Series A round led by Emergence Capital as the company expands its suite of business software tools to focus on education. This fundraise marks the largest ever Series A for a Latina-led software startup. Existing investor Global Founders Capital participated in the round, bringing the company’s total capital raised to-date to $22 million, making Talent Hack the most well-funded creator platform in its vertical.
Santi Subotovsky, General Partner at Emergence Capital will be joining the company’s board of directors, alongside current board member Sarra Zayani, Partner at Global Founders Capital.
Talent Hack brings the multiple platforms and tools required to build a digital wellness studio, including payment processing, live-streaming, content hosting, email automations and CRM, under one sleek digital storefront that serves as a fitness creators’ own website, or embeds directly into an existing site at no cost to the creator.
“Historically, fitness creators either work under the restrictions of big box gyms and studios or use a handful of disparate technologies to run their private businesses. These coaches, instructors, and educators shouldn’t be struggling with steep learning curves, high costs, and technologies that aren’t purpose-built for the industry. They should be focused on inspiring others to be the best versions of themselves,” said Santi Subotovsky, General Partner at Emergence Capital. “We are excited to back Alexandra, Emily, and the Talent Hack team. They are not only intensely passionate about helping the fitness and wellness community successfully build and manage their businesses, but they also understand the technology and tools needed to make Talent Hack the leading platform in the industry.”
Since launching a year ago, Talent Hack has seen rapid 50% month-over-month growth, with the number of creators using the platform tripling over just the last quarter. Most importantly, switching over to Talent Hack, creators have increased their monthly revenue by 280% on average.
“The creators’ success is our success” said Alexandra Bonetti, Founder and CEO of Talent Hack. “The fitness and wellness industry is at a pivotal time as many consumers begin to adopt a hybrid approach, utilizing both in-person and virtual workouts. We ultimately believe that regardless of what the future model looks like, the industry is being driven forward by creators, and we are excited to use this latest fundraise to build the most important fitness and wellness creator community to further help them gain the recognition and financial success that they deserve.”
“Partnering with Alexandra is extra special for Santi and I because she is the first Latina CEO and founder in the Emergence portfolio of over 100 companies,” said Lotti Siniscalco, Principal at Emergence Capital. “We believe the new generation of iconic tech companies will be led by diverse CEOs who can connect with and understand their target market from a unique vantage point. There is nobody better positioned to go after this $10 billion opportunity than Alexandra, and we could not be more thrilled to be partnering with her.”
“Talent Hack is the home for all fitness and wellness creators to learn, launch, and grow their business,” said Sarra Zayani, Partner at Global Founders Capital and Talent Hack Board Member. “We are excited to see Talent Hack’s comprehensive platform supercharge creators at every point of their career journey, inspired by Alexandra’s deep industry experience and thought leadership over the past decade”
Talent Hack will use the new capital to drive its education accelerator courses including its Six Steps to Six Figures program, in addition to expanding its software platform and product development to enhance additional features such as pricing strategy recommendations, webinars, and more resources for creators. The new financing will also support the launch of Talent Hack Co-Spaces, a new feature that enables private 1:1 training as well as talent to teach classes collaboratively through their respective websites.
