Tripledot Studios, a mobile game company, has raised $116 million in Series B funding. The lead investor was 20VC.
London, 14th February 2022 – Tripledot Studios, one of the fastest growing mobile games companies in the world, known for its successful portfolio of casual mobile games including Woodoku and Solitaire, has raised $116 million in Series B financing. Garnering a valuation of more than $1.4 billion, the round was led by 20VC, with participation from existing investors Access Industries, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Eldridge, just ten months following the company’s Series A. After tripling its revenue last year, Tripledot Studios will continue to accelerate the growth of its portfolio of games and invest in M&A opportunities.
“We have been expanding at an accelerated pace,” said Lior Shiff, CEO and co-founder, Tripledot Studios. “In 2021 we diversified our portfolio, and continued to grow our hit titles via our best-in-class marketing and live operations capabilities. As the mobile games landscape adapted to platform changes, we continued to attract the right players who are highly engaged in our games. These achievements are all thanks to our incredibly talented team and the strength of our culture. I couldn’t be more proud of what they have accomplished.”
“The goal is to build a generational, once in a lifetime company”, commented Akin Babayigit, COO and co-founder. “We have a robust pipeline of games; we launched 4 titles already this year with much more to come. We also plan to be very active on the M&A front. Our expertise in user acquisition, monetisation and data-driven product iteration allows us to scale our games quickly and very profitably. We look forward to bringing this know-how to future acquisitions.”
Eyal Chameides, co-founder and CPO added: “We are very excited to have the support of Harry and 20VC. Harry himself is an entrepreneur as well as an investor, so we couldn’t be more excited to go on this journey with him. Also we are so thankful for the vote confidence of our full investor team. We can’t wait to take Tripledot to the next level.”
Tripledot has been growing at lightning speed, tripling revenues in a year, with 200 global employees and already reaching more than 25 million people monthly. The mobile game maker has quickly become recognized as the top experts in creating highly engaging casual games which retain players exceptionally well over a long period of time. Tripledot was recently recognised as the fastest growing tech company in the UK by PwC, the first time the award was given to a games company.
“Tripledot’s growth rate and efficacy in building successful and highly retentive games is unmatched,” said Harry Stebbings, Managing Partner, 20VC. “The leadership of Tripledot is singular; they have built an operation that has been scaling up rapidly while keeping its commitment to quality and a great company culture that knows how to attract and retain the best talents in gaming.
