United Sample, a provider of innovative online sample solutions for the market research industry, today announced the closing of a $3 million Series B round of venture capital financing led by Greycroft Partners (http://www.greycroftpartners.com). Previous investor DFJ Frontier (http://www.dfjfrontier.com) also participated in the round. The new funds will be used to grow sales, increase marketing efforts, develop technology, and enhance operations. In connection with the financing, Dana Settle, a partner at Greycroft, will join the company’s board of directors. United Sample also announced its business metrics for the second half of 2008, revealing a rapidly growing number of panelists and strong web traffic. “In this challenging economic climate, only the most promising startups are receiving new funding,” said Settle. “United Sample has the potential to transform the online sample industry, and the company’s measured results and experienced team have been outstanding.”

In the past six months, United Sample registered more than one million survey panelists worldwide. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in compensation has already been earned by panelists. During the same period, the company’s panel website received more than 3 million visitors and delivered more than 12 million page views.

In June 2008, United Sample announced the close of a Series A financing led by DFJ Frontier and the hiring of industry veterans to key positions. United Sample was founded earlier in 2008 by Matthew Dusig and Gregg Lavin, who previously founded another online surveying business, goZing.com.
