

Menlo Park, California-based Unusual Ventures, which raised $400 million for its second fund in 2019, announced it has added Wei Lien Dang as a general partner. he said he’ll invest in and mentor founders in infrastructure software, security, developer tools and data platforms.
Wei was a co-founder and head of product at container security company StackRox, which was acquired by RedHat in January, and he was advising start-ups before joining Unusual. Wei was also a previous member of the investment team at Andreessen Horowitz.
The early-stage firm Unusual Ventures was founded by John Vrionis, previously a partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Jyoti Bansal, the founder of AppDynamics.
