Early-stage firm Unusual Ventures announced it has added Lars Albright as a general partner to focus on consumer software, fintech and commerce. Albright is a vet of the Boston tech scene, having founded Quattro Wireless, which was acquired by Apple in 2010, and SessionM, bought by Mastercard in 2019.
As part of the move, the firm has opened an office in Boston to target the tech community in the northeast region. Sarah Leary, an existing venture partner at the firm, and co-founder of Nextdoor, will join him in the Boston office.
Menlo Park, California-based Unusual Ventures raised $400 million for its second fund in 2019.
