Surf Air, an all-you-can-fly membership-based airline, has sealed an undisclosed amount of capital from investors including Anthem Venture Partners, NEA, actor Jared Leto, Mike Walsh, TriplePoint Capital, Siemer Ventures, and Baroda Ventures, among others. The company plans to launch its private air service in the late summer of 2012.
Surf Air, a new, all-you-can-fly membership-based airline, announced today a key round of funding from multiple sources including Anthem Venture Partners, NEA, actor Jared Leto, Mike Walsh, TriplePoint Capital, Siemer Ventures, Baroda Ventures, Gilad and Eytan Elbaz, Rick Caruso, and Jeffrey Stibel.
The funding will allow Surf Air to continue its plans to launch a unique membership-based private air service in the late summer of 2012. The initial launch will provide members with convenient and luxurious flights between important California cities including Palo Alto, Monterey, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara.

Surf Air is now accepting wait list member applications at SurfAir.com and has already signed on 500 Founding Members for its first launch market servicing Palo Alto, Monterey, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. It is also taking wait list applications for its subsequent launch markets around the U.S.
