Norwest Venture Partners announced on its blog that it has promoted Casper de Clercq and Ryan Harris each to general partner and Ran Ding, Jared Hyatt, Conrad Shang and Ed Yip to vice presidents.

De Clercq is known for his investments in Intersect ENT (which went public last year), Basis (which was acquired by Intel), and Misfit Wearables (which recently sold to Fossil Group for $260 million).

Harris led the firm’s investments in Capsugel, iCardiac and Crossover Health.

McJannet joins Greylock as EIR

Greylock Partners announced in a blog post that enterprise software veteran Dave McJannet has joined the firm as an executive-in-residence.

McJannet, who previously worked at webMethods, Microsoft, VMware, Hortonworks and Github, will assist the firm’s portfolio companies with “product and go-to-market strategy,” and he will help look at new investments.

Greycroft promotes Wheeler

Greycroft Partners, which recently closed a fourth early stage fund at $200 million, announced that Ellie Wheeler was promoted to partner from principal. He joins the firm’s five other investing partners in managing the new fund.

Lefkofsky returns to Lightbank

Groupon Chairman and Co-founder Eric Lefkofsky has returned to his position of managing partner at Lightbank. 

Lefkofsky co-founded the Chicago-based venture firm, which launched in 2010.

Revolution Growth has named four new vice presidents, hiring three new executives and promoting Meredith Balenske to vice president of communications.

The Washington, D.C.-based firm hired Kristin Gunther, formerly a vice president at Perseus; Ashley Larson, a former senior associate at ABS Capital Partners; and Chris Hughes, former project leader at Boston Consulting Group.

Bullpen appoints Wiesen as GP

Bullpen Capital has hired Eric Wiesen as a general partner. Previously, Wiesen worked at RRE Ventures where he was a general partner.

Octopus adds Lambert to team

Octopus Investments announced in late November it has hired Tim Lambert as strategic partnerships manager. Previously, Lambert worked at Parallel Capital, a firm he co-founded in 2011.

At Octopus, Lambert will focus on the affordable housing sector. The firm recently announced its entry into the market through the formation of Octopus QSH, a joint venture with housing developer QSH, specializing in building affordable homes in the United Kingdom.

General Atlantic promotes team members

New York-based growth equity firm General Atlantic promoted Jörn Nikolay to managing director and Roni Elchahal, Andrew Ferrer and Rajat Sood each to principal. The promotions were set to become effective Jan. 1, 2016.
