Fin VC has two job openings it’s seeking to fill. The venture firm wants to add a business development associate/vice-president for its operations team. The hire will help execute and build the systems to help fund managers manage a growing portfolio of early-stage, late-stage and pre-IPO fintech investments. Candidates should have four-plus years of experience working as a strategy, business development or partnership lead at a fintech company or in a finance-related role. He or she will report directly to the fund managers based in San Francisco and New York City.
Another position up for grabs is an associate role for Fin VC’s investment team. The hire will conduct market analysis and opportunity identification via academic research, customer interviews, conferences, incubator and university demo days and peers. Candidates should have two to five years of previous work experience, ideally with a background in venture capital, private equity or investment banking with exposure to financial services/fintech. Also, a BA or BS in related fields is a strong plus, as is a MBA. This position is in New York City.
Sands Capital is on the hunt for a venture partner for its ventures technology sector investment team. He or she will function as an integral member of the ventures team and will join an experienced team of investment professionals in finding, assessing and investing in leading startups in the tech industry. He or she should be flexible and willing to get involved in many different aspects of the business as required. Candidates should have a BS or BA degree; a MS or technical degree or in computer science/engineering is preferred but not required. Also, they should have 15 to 20 years of relevant working experience. Operational experience at a startup is a plus. The position is in Arlington, Virginia.
Cambridge Associates is seeking an associate director for its private investments business development unit. The hire will construct and maintain a pipeline of all private investment business opportunities for current and prospective clients; and establish an infrastructure to track all private investment activities globally and measure the firm’s success rate. Also, he or she will manage and oversee all private investment marketing content and ensure that data is accurate, updated and that the messaging is consistent across mediums. Candidates should have a BA or BS degree and six to nine years of experience in the investment industry. Also, they must commit to passing the Series 3 exam within the first three months of employment (tutorials and study materials are provided). The position is in Boston.
