Verve raises $7 million in funding round

Mobile advertising company Verve Wireless Inc. has closed a $7 million round of fund-raising led by BlueRun Ventures. There were a number of return investors, including The Associated Press. Verve intends to the use the capital to expand its platform of advertising services.


Verve Wireless Inc., the leading provider of premium mobile publishing and advertising technologies to local media companies, announced today it has closed a $7 million round of financing led by BlueRun Ventures. Previous investor, The Associated Press, along with others participated in the round. The capital will be used to further develop and expand Verve’s products and services, including the largest premium local advertising network and publisher platform.

Verve offers local publishers industry-leading technology to distribute and manage news and targeted advertising across all mobile platforms, from iPhone to Android. Its versatile platform and tools are used by more than 750 leading media companies worldwide.

McClatchy, Belo Interactive, The Associated Press are among the 750 customers that rely on Verve for their local mobile advertising solutions.
