Wahed, an automated investment service for American Muslims, has raised $5 million in seed funding. The investors included Khalid Al Jassim, a managing partner of Afkar Holdings and founding member at Arcapita and John Elkhair, a former adviser to the CEO of the Qatar Investment Authority and former managing director at JPMorgan Chase.
