SAN DIEGO, July 19, 2016 – iboss Cybersecurity, the only cloud-based cybersecurity solution that can detect and contain data breaches before loss occurs, announces the appointments of John M. Connolly and Frank Fanzilli to the company’s Board of Directors.
Connolly and Fanzilli have held senior positions at Bain Capital Ventures and Credit Suisse, respectively, and each bring to iboss a unique combination of expertise and insights as the company continues its rapid growth. With leadership experience advising high-growth technology firms, the new appointments come as the company quickly expands following a $35 million Series A investment from Goldman Sachs’ Private Capital Investing group in 2015.
“With their unique backgrounds and proven success in supporting high-growth companies, Frank and John will add tremendous value to the iboss team,” said Paul Martini, co-founder and CEO of iboss. “We’re excited to work with both Frank and John as we continue building out our team and offering our services worldwide.”
“Everyone at iboss is passionate about delivering the most unique and innovative cyber solutions on the market to their customers,” said John M. Connolly. “That drive is what it takes to be successful and stand out in the industry, and I’m really excited to help them continue to build that reputation.”
“The team at iboss has developed some of the most advanced cybersecurity products available today,” said Frank Fanzilli. “Founders Peter and Paul Martini have the ingenuity needed to take their company and its products to the next level. I’m looking forward to helping them deliver those products to meet the needs of a rapidly growing market for cyber solutions all around the world.”
Fanzilli spent almost 20 years at Credit Suisse, where he became Global Chief Information Officer, managing the firm’s applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations in over 20 countries, with more than 4,000 staff. At CS, Frank was a Managing Director and member of the Firm’s Information Executive Board. He has also served on more than 12 corporate boards in the technology and banking field, where he has overseen risk, investment and M&A. Fanzilli’s recent boards include 1010data, Calypso Technology, and CommVault. He is also one of the longest serving independent directors at The Linux Foundation. He is based in the New York area.
Connolly was formerly Managing Director and head of the Operating Group at Bain Capital Ventures (BCV), where he worked with over 25 companies developing strategies and tactics to accelerate growth. He is now Senior Advisor at BCV. He has been a Chairman, Non-Executive Chairman, or Director on 15 boards. He has also founded two companies (Course Technology and MainSpring) and has been a CEO of five different companies. He is based in Massachusetts.
With the appointment of two new board members, iboss continues to build the firm’s advisory board and leadership team to deliver the best cyber solutions available to a growing market. As leaders in the industry, iboss is the only cybersecurity firm that can stop hackers in their tracks by continuously monitoring network data in real time. Most cybersecurity companies only make a portion of their services available on the cloud and focus solely on stopping threats from getting in. iboss goes a step further, offering next-gen web security direct-to-cloud and protecting against data loss from malware that inevitably makes its way into the network.
Leveraging leading threat protection and unsurpassed usability, iboss is trusted by thousands of organizations and millions of users. The firm’s 4,000+ enterprise clients include Xerox, Sears and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
