About Venture Capital Journal (VCJ)

Venture Capital Journal (VCJ) was first published in 1961 by noted private equity and venture capital industry expert, Stanley E. Pratt, who pioneered research, data tracking and trend analysis in alternative investing. During the last 58 years, VCJ has produced volumes upon volumes of venture capital market reports, books and articles referenced by organizations such as the Small Business Administration, National Bureau of Economic Research and many business school texts.

VCJ was acquired by Thomson Reuters in the mid-nineties and joined sister publications, Buyouts and PE Hub, under the PE Hub Network umbrella. During this time, VCJ’s readership continued to grow as venture capital investing gained distinction. VCJ has since been acquired by PEI Group who increased the size of VCJ’s editorial team, expanding its geographical coverage.

Today, the market intelligence and insight provided by VCJ’s editorial team on ways to operate, succeed and profit are timely and spot-on. GPs and LPs subscribe to VCJ for the unparalleled analysis of the fundraising market – including who’s raising capital, which investors are making new allocations, and what terms and conditions are being negotiated. VCJ also provides institutional investors, intermediaries and the vendors who service them the intelligence needed to stay a step ahead.
