Turbonomic has acquired Boston-based software company SevOne. No financial terms were disclosed. Turbonomic's backers include Bain Capital Ventures, General Atlantic, Globespan Capital Partners, Highland Capital Partners and Iconiq Capital.
Boston-based PathAI, a provider of AI-powered research tools and services for pathology, has raised $75 million in Series B funding. The investors include Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Brazilian venture firm Monashees is seeking to raise $280 million for its ninth fund, according to an SEC filing. A year ago, as previously reported by PE HUB, the firm closed its eighth fund at $150 million.
District Ventures has assumed the ownership and operator of Food Startup, a Toronto-based food startup incubator and accelerator. No financial terms were disclosed. Food Startup has been renamed District Ventures Kitchen. District Ventures is a a startup incubator and accelerator of Canadian consumer venture firm District Venture Capital.
Los Angeles-based Boulevard, a platform-as-a-service provider for beauty service brands, has raised $11 million in Series A funding. Index Ventures led the round with participation from Bonfire Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, BoxGroup and Luma Launch.
New York City-based Namely has named Amy Roy as chief people officer.
